Ongoing Research Projects
The Life Design Lab was founded in 2017 by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kernbach at the MCM-HSG and conducts research about life design on an ongoing basis and continuously work to set up life design as an academic discipline (e.g., by organizing the Life Design track at the European Academy of Management).
Our current projects include the value of life design to support psychological capital, affect regulation and how visual thinking can help life design.
Together with the Executive School at the University of St. Gallen we launched a new executive education program and format called "NEXT". This program is designed to use the life design approach to support executives with 25+ years of work experience in proactively shaping their next stage in career and life. Prof. Kernbach is Academic Director responsible for the overall strategy, content and learning journey of the NEXT program. It is the first of its kind in Europe and outside the United States.
