Research Divisions The MCM institute is organized into four research divisions and one research center: Communications Management, Corporate Communications, Media and Culture, Digital Communications and the Center for Leadership and Values in Society. Communications Management - Prof. Dr. Martin J. Eppler The Chair for Communications Management (=mcm1) is concerned with the effects of digitalization on management, and in particular on the way that managers work, communicate and act innovatively with one another. Corporate Communications - Prof. Dr. Miriam Meckel In its research and teaching the Chair for Corporate Communications (=mcm2) combines aspects of strategy with communication and from this approach anticipates how the communications work of organisations can react to the challenges of the new media. Media and Culture - Prof. Dr. Veronica Barassi The Media and Culture (=mcm3) Chair is concerned with the social and democratic impacts of data technologies and AI as well as with key questions about media cultures and social change. Digital Communication - Prof. Dr. Katarina Stanoevska-Slabeva The Digital Communication Chair (=mcm4) is concerned with new developments in the area of converging social media, mobile applications and cloud platforms.
